Terms of Service

Welcome to gaantrouwen. These terms describe the agreement under which you use our service. By creating an account or activating a paid plan, you accept these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are

gaantrouwen is provided by gaantrouwen BV, based in Antwerp, Belgium. In these terms "we", "us", and "the service" refer to the gaantrouwen platform and everything that comes with it. Questions about these terms: hello@gaantrouwen.com.

2. What the service does

gaantrouwen helps couples plan their wedding. We offer tasks, budgeting, guest lists, a vendor marketplace, AI assistance, and a wedding website. We do our best to keep the service available but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Features may change as the product evolves.

3. Creating an account

To use gaantrouwen you create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide and for the security of your login. You are also responsible for activity that takes place under your account. One account is intended for one person — don't share it.

4. Payment

Planning costs a one-time €75 per wedding. Payment is processed through our payment partner Mollie. After successful payment you immediately get access to all features, valid past your wedding day. No subscription, no hidden charges. Belgian VAT (where applicable) is included.

5. How you may use the service

Use gaantrouwen for your own wedding. No scraping, no automated abuse, no attempts to overload the service. Don't upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringing. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for serious violations.

6. Intellectual property

The gaantrouwen platform and all related IP (code, design, content we create) remain ours. Content you create yourself (your tasks, guest list, photos, messages) remains yours — we only get the right to display and process it to deliver the service.

7. Your data

How we process your personal data is described in detail in our privacy policy. In short: we collect only what's needed to deliver the service, we don't share anything with third parties for advertising purposes, and you can export your data or delete your account at any time via Account → Data Rights.

8. Liability

We provide gaantrouwen "as is". We are not liable for indirect damages (missed bookings, lost time, consequential damages). Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last twelve months. Mandatory consumer protection law still applies.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time via Account → Data Rights. We can suspend or terminate your access in case of serious violation of these terms. Payments for services already delivered are not refunded, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these terms

We may adjust these terms from time to time — for example because new features are added or the law changes. For important changes we'll notify you by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes we can't resolve together are submitted to the competent court in Antwerp, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
